Talking to Your Tween/Teen About Sex

It’s the hardest talk to have. Not just the birds and the bees, but the periods, pimples and pressure that come with adolescence. Get over your awkwardness—the blushing, stammering and pauses—and that’s just you.

We have two recommendations for you:

Tween/Teen: Talking Sense About Sex: The presentation is this Thursday, January 21 at 1 p.m. at Wilmette Junior High School Auditorium, Deborah Roffman, a nationally known author and speaker will be giving parents pointers and answering your questions about how you can get past the “uhs” and “you knows.”

Prepare your daughter—and yourself—for her first period: Tips on getting your daughter ready for this big event.
